Questions (21st February 2012)

1. Reflect on your experience in using the computer in the courses that you have undertaken
2. Relate the concepts in the 3 stages to that experience
3. Discuss how the concepts in the 3 stages of CALL are relevant to SLA theories and practices

Answer:

• Learning Arabic by using Modules from the Internet
• The result from the Modules was somehow unexpected. The students managed to grasp the knowledge from it. However, not all of the contents from the Modules are useful and adaptable in reality as the modules was all about communication and the level of unlike what we learn in class. Thus, it leads to the confusion towards the students. 
• The 3 stages of CALL are relevant in the sense that; it somehow help in the understanding the grammar of the second language just like the Behaviourist CALL but, it does not really give an impact the communication aspect of the second language as the students will only learn about the grammar of the second language.

• American Literature & Twentieth Century English Literature
• Students and lecturers discussed potential questions and answers on Google Group
• Behaviourist CALL & Integrative CALL are relevant for these two particular courses as students are exposed to all literary concepts in class and later they will use Google Group to discuss what they have learned in class.
